Cordoba Cathedral in Spain

The Cordoba Cathedral is in the city of

Cordoba, Spain. It was builut in the year 785

by the dominating Muslims as a mosque. Then in

1236 King Ferdinand III reconquered Cordoba. He

ordered the mosque to be turned into a cathedral.

It's facinating to see both Islamic and Christian

infulences in this beautiful place. The beautiful

high ceilings, the columns, the religious icons---

it just took my breath away.
