Wild Horses

This spring I had the good to luck to visit
a ranch over in Spray, Oregon. They have about
100 wild horses on their property.

The horses split up into several
herds and switch around frequently.

This may be my favorite picture.
I love the way this mare's mane is
all spiky and she still has her
winter coat. She looks so bold.

This was my favorite mare. She used
to be tame, and she came right up to
me looking for a treat to eat.
I rewarded her with some carrots.
